Alice Tither
Registered Intern Psychologist
Alice is a registered intern psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society and New Zealand Association of Positive Psychology.

She is in her 7th year of university study and working towards full registration as a counselling psychologist through the Auckland University of Technology (AUT).

Alice is interested in a range of anxiety and depressive issues, as well as a strong interest in work-related challenges, existential concerns, and the anxieties that Millennials and Gen Z face. She has over ten years’ experience working in population health, specialising in workplace wellbeing and has trained predominantly in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is collaborative, takes a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, and can draw on a range of techniques and models from Person-centered Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, and Positive Psychology.


Alice is warm, empathetic, and recognises the unique strengths each person has. She fosters spaces where people feel accepted, valued, and supported to make changes, overcome challenges, cope with difficulties, and develop to flourish.
