About Goldie

Goldie has been with Anxiety NZ for over a decade, including previous roles as Helpline Manager and National Manager, and now as a Registered Psychologist.

Goldie has supported many people on their journey towards better mental health and wellbeing. She has years of experience providing therapeutic support, community workshops, and professional training and supervision for mental health workers. In 2024, she completed her Psychologist internship and registered as a Psychologist with the NZ Board of Psychologists.

Goldie has a special interest in anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), depression, self-esteem, health conditions, and existential concerns. She takes an integrative approach, drawing from a range of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

Goldie enjoys connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. She has lived in four countries (France, South Africa, England, Israel) and has proactively developed her local cultural competency since moving to Aotearoa New Zealand in 2007. She warmly welcomes and has experience working with people from different walks of life and with diverse identities and lived experience.

Goldie is passionate about providing tailored support and empowerment. She takes a strengths-based person-centred approach, creating a safe and collaborative space for clients to reflect without judgement and work towards their therapeutic goals with compassionate guidance.
